The princess
"I grew up sort of like a princess. I know that sounds awful, but I was the baby of the family. I had older brothers, so the little girl always gets everything she wants. As I've gotten older, I've realized that if you want something bad enough, you can have it. I've never gone after something I didn't get. Not yet." Rachel Bilson.
On how that's verified for Summer. And Seth.
Written At the end of The Homecoming.
Summer Roberts is definitely the archetype of the princess. She's got everything, clothes, friends, money, shoes, parties, and boys whatsoever.
Summer has been born in a natural rich community so she has naturally everything she may want. Her shallow ways and popularity make it easy for her. Summer wants a guy to go to a party? She just has to jump on the first guy passing in the school and she'll go to the party with him. I'm going with Chip. poof! Chip the boring beer smoker's going.
Seth has been part of this easily-getting things process. He was so obsessed with her he was reacting at her tiniest desire. Blowing on dices, licking piquante, or taking her to parties, whatever, he does it.
Now Summer had to stop getting everything she wants whenever she feels like it... Seth has to take care of that.
Summer experiences her first 'No' when Anna robs her white knight /Seth obviously, at the Cotilion. Note the shocked face that indicates the discovery of a new word by Summer. No matter what, Summer rapes Seth near the Cohens pool at Caleb's birthday. One point each side.
Then begins the period of cat fights period when Seth snaps at Summer every now and then. Fights ensue until Summer slyly finds a reason to throw herself into Seth's arms. 2 points each.
Anna gets back in the fight and create the evil jealousy plan ending by the 'Let's forget Summer and be together' phase. Seth doesn't get those kind of things very quickly and succombate to Summer's crazy-kissing-lips. 3 points each.
Summer believes she has gotten what she wanted as always and dicovers the pain of being in love /being betrayed. Seth wins.
Hopefully Summer wants him bad enough to keep going after him!
